Our continued brand results consist of messaging and content development crafted as drop-ins perfectly tailored for the website, mobile formats, and traditional media. The goal for COTBHC was to bring the design and website development up to standard with present-day aesthetics, messaging, and digital communication methods.
The City of Tampa Black History Committee (COTBHC), host of the Annual City of Tampa Black History Celebration, sought a newly designed website that would offer the brand a unique online presence to align with the organization’s mission, history, and long-standing role within the community. COTBHC additionally desired the design and editorial of an annual visual that would both promote the brand and incorporate long-term continuity.
With the Annual City of Tampa Black History Celebration being a large-scale community event drawing a vast amount of business and community leaders, officials, neighborhood leadership, and residents, it was important for the committee to have a place to: 1) tell the living story of the brand by communicating the brand history and on-going initiatives; 2) communicate and support on-going educational initiatives; and 3) increase visibility and reach while becoming a sustainable brand feature. It was equally important to create an inviting space to engage community members and give brand value to invested sponsors and community partners.
The website design and development project included design, implementation, post-design maintenance, and on-going design, updates, maintenance, analytics, and security. Brand results include a fresh approach to website design at the birth of social media; digital integrations such as featured City of Tampa video podcasts, simple blogging, photo galleries, and calendar and event management; mobile accessibility; online form-fills; SEO; and data and analytics management.
